Called by God  

In early 2009, Dr. Traci Bradford Walker felt God's call to ministry. After speaking with her pastors and receiving their encouragement, she was ordained and licensed as a minister in February 2010. She faithfully serves at Emmanuel Christian Center, where she ministers in the children's department, sings in the choir, and leads a prayer ministry for women ministers that she established during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. This ministry continues to flourish and grow.

More than ten years ago, she and two dedicated prayer partners began a daily prayer ministry. Together, they faithfully pray for their families, friends, communities, nation, and any needs God places on their hearts. Through the years, they have witnessed many miracles and continue to seek God's guidance each morning through prayer.

In 2024, while praying for a woman diagnosed with cancer who lived in the same senior housing community as her mother, Dr. Bradford Walker clearly heard God instruct her to begin praying for the residents of that community. In obedience to that calling, on the third Sunday of each month, she and her ministry team bring the Word of God, anoint residents with oil, serve Communion, and pray for them as the Lord leads.

Author

Dr. Bradford Walker and her family experienced a major crisis at the end of 2010. Through God's grace and the power of prayer, they were able to overcome this difficult season. Afterward, she felt the Lord calling her to share her testimony through writing. In response to that calling, she authored and published the book, From Shattered to Redeemed in 2014, offering hope and encouragement to others facing life's challenges.

Criminal Justice Professional

Dr. Bradford Walker has served in the criminal justice field in the State of Colorado for more than 20 years. Her experience includes serving as a Probation Officer with Community Alternatives, Deputy Director for Rocky Mountain Offender Management Systems, and the City of Aurora, Colorado. 

Her passion is to use her background in Christian counseling and ministry to bring hope, healing, and restoration to individuals who have lost their way, helping them discover purpose and a path forward.

Black Employees For A Better Aurora (BEFABA)

Dr. Bradford Walker is the current President of BEFABA and has held this position since 2023. This non-profit organization provides yearly scholarships to African American high school seniors who are furthering their academic education and meet criteria established by BEFABA. Recently, a scholarship was added to support college students who need additional money and support. The organization also supports people of color who are employees of the City of Aurora through mentoring and education.

Education

Dr. Bradford Walker began her theological studies at Aspen Christian College and Seminary in Denver, Colorado, in 2010. She earned a Master's Degree in 2012, followed by a Doctorate Degree in Ministry and Christian Counseling in 2013. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from City University in Seattle, Washington.

Family

Dr. Bradford-Walker has been married to her husband, Michael, for over 24 years. Together, they enjoy camping in their motorhome, traveling throughout the country, and spending time with fellow travelers through their RV club.
